Historical Trade Rumors: How Expos Missed Out On Albert Pujols

When the 1994 MLB season was suspended in August because of a labor dispute, the Montreal Expos had an MLB-best 74-40 record. Considering that the team employed Pedro Martinez, Ken Hill, Jeff Fassero, Larry Walker, Moises Alou, Cliff Floyd and Marquis Grissom, that shouldn't be especially surprising. Brett Cecil Gives Cardinals Another Power Lefty In The Bullpen

Brett Cecil’s postseason earned-run average and his career batting average are precisely the same. One is a good thing and the other probably irrelevant, considering that Cecil is a lefthanded reliever for the Cardinals and may not ever use the first bats that ever have had his name stenciled on them.
