Although there is an off day on Monday, the Cardinals will not alter their rotation for the upcoming series in Denver and probably won’t adjust it until the last series of the season, if then.

Kip Wells Failed To Click With Cardinals, Dave Duncan
After pitching coach Dave Duncan transformed Jeff Weaver from a consistent loser into a postseason ace with the 2006 Cardinals, the club wanted him to work similar magic with Kip Wells in 2007. Duncan and Wells were willing. The results, though, were far from the same.

Jon Jay To Begin Rehab Assignment & Results From Previous Rehabbers
Cardinals outfielder Jon Jay begins a rehab assignment with the Peoria Chiefs tonight when the Chiefs play host to the Clinton LumberKings at Dozer Park. The Cardinals placed Jay on the disabled list May 14 with tendinitis in his left wrist. He will be the first Major League player to rehab with the Chiefs since Jake Westbrook pitched for Peoria June 9, 2013, and the first position player to do so since then-Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez played two games June 19-20, 2010.

So Far, Cardinals Have Some Nice Surprises
The Cardinals (22-12) have the best winning percentage (.647) in the majors, and remained on top Friday with a 3-0 victory over Colorado at Busch Stadium. There’s a long way to go in 2013, but this is a nice start for a St. Louis team that had to cool a hazardous bullpen and heat a tepid lineup.

Top 10 Cardinals Starting Pitchers Of The 2000s
Many of you are not going to agree with this list, but let me clarify something before you throw a fit. Somebody that was with the Cardinals for a year or two, then became great, is not going to make this list (Haren). Somebody who had three great seasons is not going to rank higher than a pitcher who had six really good seasons (Kile/Morris). These are the ‘Top 10 Cardinal Starting Pitchers’ … Not the ‘Top Ten Starting Pitchers Who Happened to Play for the Cardinals’. Big difference.

DG's 10@10: Behold, The Team Of The Decade?
With 2009 speeding to a close, discussions about the decade behind us are already popping up. Some baseball writers, like Sports Illustrated’s Tom Verducci’s have picked their Team of the Aughts, others have just explored who might be the Player of the Decade. Here we’ve been convicted of over-stating the Decade Triple Crown notion (scroll down).
