Jeff Suppan (Brewers):
"It was a little frustrating in the fact I wasn't able to locate my fastball," Suppan said. "They hit some mistakes today that I made, and I didn't really have the touch with my offspeed [pitches] that I would have liked. I just tried to move it around and locate the best I could."

Felipe Lopez (Brewers):
The Brewers finally got on the scoreboard in the eighth inning, when Felipe Lopez homered off reliever Trever Miller.

Scott Rolen (Reds):
After a Scott Rolen homer in the top of the ninth provided a one-run lead, Colorado scored two in the bottom of the ninth on a Seth Smith two-out, bases-loaded single against closer Francisco Cordero for a walk-off win.

Josh Phelps (Giants):
Was assigned from Double-A Conneticut to Triple-A Fresno.

Stuart Pomeranz (New Jersey):
The New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League Placed him on the disabled list.

Jim Riggleman (Nationals MGR):
Despite a team cemented in last place and a roster loaded with new faces, Jim Riggleman has managed the Washington Nationals this month with a style that belies those circumstances. He will continue to, he said on Wednesday. September will not double as a stage for auditions. The Nationals, most nights, will be governed by Riggleman's win-tonight philosophy, and as such, he'll stick with the regulars who've won this season only sparingly.

Tim McCarver (Announcer):
Fox Sports broadcaster Tim McCarver co-hosts an hour of Sid Mark's "Sunday with Sinatra" this weekend (1210 AM WPHT). The former Phillies catcher, a huge Frank Sinatra fan, will be on from 11 to noon. McCarver told Mark that he used to listen to the show with Larry Bowa in the Phillies clubhouse before their games.
