Strike Two For Cardinals Prospect Tyler Bighames
The bad news keeps getting worse for St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler Bighames. Already suspended for the first 50 games of the 2010 season as a result of testing positive for a drug of abuse as announced last month, the 18-year-old is now in trouble with the law as well.

Tyler Bighames Suspended 50 Games For "Drug Of Abuse"
Center fielder Tyler Bighames, a minor-leaguer with the St. Louis Cardinals Gulf Coast League affiliate, was suspended 50 games for a second positive test, Major League Baseball announced Monday. The release from the MLB offices said Bighames tested positive for a “drug of abuse” each time.

Better still, the family said, Suzanne Bighames was able to get the Cardinals to agree to pay for college and to pay Bighames a signing bonus about equal to what 10th-round picks received in 2008. Bighames was committed to play at the University of Oregon, but his family told NBC2 shortly after he was drafted that he expects to sign with the Cardinals and forgo college. If so, he will report to Cardinals camp in Jupiter early next week to begin his pro career.
