Springfield's Run Ended By NW Arkansas

The Springfield Cardinals and NW Arkansas Naturals split their 32 game season series in 2010 and it was only fitting that the two teams were even through the first four games of their playoff series. The Naturals hosted the decisive Game Five at Arvest Ballpark Monday night and the Cardinals looked to pull off the upset with Trey Hearne on the mound.
The Springfield Cardinals’ season ended Monday night in Game 5 of the Texas League semifinal series, 8-4 to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Arvest Ballpark.

Springfield Wins 13-9, Lead Series 2-1

After dropping game number two 5-2 last night at Arvest Ballpark to even the best of five series 1-1 to NW Arkansas, the Cardinals returned home to Hammons Field to try and regain the series lead.
The Springfield Cardinals are one win away from reaching the Texas League finals for the first time since 2007.
