Cardinals Have Found Gems Later In Draft

The major league baseball draft next month will consist of just five rounds and anybody signed after that will receive no more than $20,000. But rounds six through 50, or six through 40 in later years, have produced some gems and the Cardinals would have quite a representative team from such players culled in the second and third days of the amateur draft.

Adron Chambers Made His Mark At 'The Right Time & The Wrong Time'

Adron Chambers said he had no idea the commotion he was about to create late in the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals were being blanked 1-0, headed for their second loss in succession to the Chicago Cubs and virtually out of contention for a wild-card spot in the National League playoffs.

Adron Chambers Hungry For Return

It was nearly eight years ago, but St. Louis Cardinals fans still clearly remember that September game against the Chicago Cubs and the wild pitch from Carlos Marmol that allowed Adron Chambers to race across the plate with the winning run.
