July 28, 2018: Mets Two beat Cardinals Red 10-1:  The Mets turned things around in the second game and pounded the middle innings with ten runs, taking advantage of 14 walks, and held the Cardinals dormant on three hits and one run.  Hector De Los Santos pitched one and two-thirds scoreless innings and held three inherited runners on base.  Sebastian Tabata struck out three over one scoreless inning.

Who's Hot:

Hector De Los Santos (Red) has not allowed a run in his last three appearances and four of last five games.  The 19-year old right-hander retired one batter, with the bases loaded, on July 24th for the save (1).  He pitched and extended two scoreless innings on July 26th where he allowed two hits, one walk, and struck three out.  Then on July 28th, he hurled another one and two-thirds innings giving up no hits or runs, one walk, and struck two out while hollding all three inherited runners on base.  The April 23, 2018 free agent signing had a ground out-to-fly out ratio of 1-to-2.

Wilman Madera (Red) hasn't given up a run in his last two appearances, spanning five and two-thirds innings.  The 19-year old right-hander tossed three and two-thirds scoreless relief innings on July 26th only giving up two hits, one walk, and striking out four.  He had a ground out-to-fly out ratio of 0-for-2 and held both inherited runners on base.
