Cardinals Seek Speed, Baserunning Ability In Minors

Cardinals third-round pick C.J. McElroy sped by Busch Stadium on Thursday for a brief visit on his way to what he expects soon to be a finalized contract and an assignment to an affiliate. Though he has a Division I football scholarship waiting on him, the son of former big-league pitcher Chuck McElroy said he "wants to follow in my dad's footsteps."
