Allen Cordoba's Versatility Leaves Padres With Tough Call

The Padres selected Allen Cordoba in December's Rule 5 Draft for his talent and his potential. At 21, Cordoba already has the body of a big leaguer, and he's coming off back-to-back batting titles in the Gulf Coast League and the Appalachian League, respectively.
