Drop Off Nashville Relief Donations At Memorial Park Community Center
The Johnson City Cardinals are collecting donations to support the surrounding Nashville area during their tornado relief efforts. Memorial Park Community Center will be a drop off location for sealed and unused goods on Friday, March 6th and Monday, March 9th through Thursday, March 12th from 9 am - 4 pm.

Local State Senators File Resolution Urging MLB To Save Minor League Teams
State Sens. Rusty Crowe, R-Johnson City, and Jon Lundberg, R-Bristol, have introduced a resolution in the General Assembly urging Major League Baseball to maintain its affiliation will all current Minor League Baseball teams, according to a news release from the Tennessee Republican Caucus.

Johnson City Declares Support For Minor League Baseball
As rising tensions between Minor and Major League Baseball threaten the future of the Appalachian League, the Johnson City Commission has entered the fray, passing a resolution expressing it’s “formal support” for the hometown Cardinals, the Appalachian League and Minor League Baseball at a commission meeting on Feb. 5.

Appalachian League Releases 2019 Community Report
The Appalachian League today announced it surpassed $2.3 million in charitable contributions for the 2019 calendar year. The multi-million dollar figure is a culmination of all community involvement from the ten teams in the Advanced-Rookie league, as well as efforts from the Appalachian League office.

Cardinals Announce Minor League Field Staffs & Player Development Assignments For 2020
The St. Louis Cardinals announced today their 2020 minor league coaching staffs for their affiliate teams in addition to their player development and medical personnel for the upcoming season.

Seven of the Cardinals’ nine minor-league managers in 2019 will return to their same stands this year, with the only exceptions being Joe Hawkins taking over for Josh Lopez with the Gulf Coast Cardinals rookie team and Estuar Ruiz managing the Dominican Summer League Red team.
