Jose Veras Still Looking For A Team
If you take away Jose Veras’ rough but brief start to 2014 with the Cubs, the free agent reliever has a 3.02 ERA in 95 1/3 innings the last two seasons, all in the American League. That ERA ties him with Junichi Tazawa of the Red Sox for 25th best in the A.L. among qualified relievers in that span, and puts him ahead of some recognizable names, such as Mariners close Fernando Rodney, whose 3.11 ERA is the next best mark.
