Quad Cities Victimized By Fort Wayne Bats In 10-8 Loss

Despite scoring eight runs, the River Bandits were unable to top the Fort Wayne TinCaps falling 10-8 on Sunday at Modern Woodmen Park. Quad Cities fell behind 2-0 in the first inning but they were able to take a 4-3 lead after scoring four in the third. The TinCaps answered with six runs in the fourth and held on to their lead through the remaining five innings.

The River Bandits plated four runs in the seventh inning to lead them to a 5-4 victory over the Kane County Cougars in the series finale on Sunday. The win keeps the Bandits in a tie with the Beloit Snappers for first place in the Midwest League's Western Division and it earned them a split in the four-game set with the Cougars.
