St. Louis Official Site
Matt Carpenter was scheduled to start for the Cardinals at third base Wednesday at Roger Dean Stadium. With the team slated for two split-squad games on the day, the benches were thinned relative to the typical number of reserves for a first-week-of-spring game.

First Things First For Jose Martinez; Mike Matheny Vs. Tate Matheny; 'Campers' To The Rescue; Jordan Schafer, Kolten Wong, Etc.
Comfortable with the relatively lonely pursuit of being an outfielder and having only a few people within earshot, Jose Martinez had to get used to all the chatter that came with playing first base, let alone all the action.
