The Diamondbacks, who have won their first two series of the season against 2017 playoff clubs Colorado and Los Angeles, including sweeping the Dodgers, will play on the road for the first time but without 30-homer hitter Jake Lamb. An All-Star third baseman last year, Lamb hurt his left shoulder diving to make a catch on a foul ball in the ninth inning on Monday and then aggravated it scoring the winning run on a headfirst slide in the 15th inning in a win over the Dodgers.

Tommy Pham's Frustrations Justified, But Cardinals Are Right, Too
Here's my favorite bit of trivia about Tommy Pham, and it's maybe the most important one: He's 30 years old. Pham was one of baseball's best stories last year, spending the first month of the season in the Minor Leagues before exploding for five months, finishing the season as a Top 10 fWAR player, according to Fangraphs, and placing 11th in National League MVP Award voting, just ahead of Bryce Harper. Most baseball fans had never heard of him before last season, when he was one of the top players in the game, and clearly one of the most exciting, a guy who plays with urgency and fire and passion and, frankly, pure fury. He's hypnotic.

Why This Organization Needs Seth Beer
It’ll soon be that time of baseball season, where many are anticipating the MLB Draft. The Cardinals are a team on a mission to restock, with 4 picks in the first 100 (lost a fifth signing Greg Holland). This year’s draft class is well loaded with talent, such as Seth Beer. The arrival of the powerful first baseman out of Clemson University has been well anticipated. He may well have the most power potential of any bat in the draft.
