Should Struggling Matt Carpenter Actually Bat Leadoff?

There's a fun little debate online about Matt Carpenter's nickname. Should it be “Carp?” It was, after all, the nickname of a previous Cardinal (yes, early '90s reliever Cris Carpenter, and actually, come to think of it, also another guy). Many on Twitter have taken to calling Matt Carpenter “Marp,” which is fun to say. But a monicker compromise, I hate to suggest, could be: “Mendoza.”
