Chris Swauger To Return As Johnson City Manager In 2016

The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the Johnson City Cardinal's coaching staff for the 2016 season. Chris Swauger, who led the Cardinals in 2015 and was the hitting coach in 2014, will once again serve as the club's manager. Hitting coach Robert Espinoza returns to Johnson City for the first time since 2013 after spending the last two seasons as the hitting coach with the Gulf Coast Cardinals. Pitching coach Cale Johnson will be the new addition to the Johnson City coaching staff in 2016, but it will be a return of sorts. Johnson was a member of the 2009 and 2010 Johnson City Cardinals as a pitcher.

Cardinals Announce Minors Staffs, Player Development Assignments

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today the coaching staffs for the 2016 season for their minor league affiliates in addition to their player development personnel.

All eight Cardinals incumbent Minor League managers will return to their affiliates in 2016, the team announced on Tuesday. There will also be no changes with the pitching coach assignments at the four full-season affiliates -- Triple-A Memphis, Double-A Springfield, Class A Advanced Palm Beach and low Class A Peoria.

Cardinals Announce 2015 Minor League Field Staff Positions; Minor League Instructions & Medical Staffs Also Announced

The St. Louis Cardinals announced the coaching staffs for their minor league affiliates for the 2015 season today. Five of their affiliates will have new managers with one affiliate gaining the youngest manager in the Cardinals organization. A new hitting coach and pitching coach join the Cardinals at the short-season levels and Ron "Pop" Warner, the Memphis manager for the past three seasons, moves into a new role as roving infield instructor.

Johnson City Announces 2014 Field Staff

The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that Johnny Rodriguez has been named the manager of the 2014 Johnson City Cardinals. Returning to join Rodriguez on the field staff for their second season in Johnson City will be hitting coach Roberto Espinoza and pitching coach Paul Davis.
