As Major League Baseball and the minor leagues negotiate to come up with an agreement on a new contract, the folks at Boyd Sports want to remind local baseball fans that there will be an Appalachian League season this summer.

Striking Out Misconceptions On The 2020 Season

As spring training begins, all Appalachian League teams are preparing for the 2020 season as planned. Out of the 10-team league, three Boyd Sports teams are being impacted by the misunderstandings of the League's 2020 playing status. Boyd Sports To Manage & Operate Elizabethton

Boyd Sports, LLC has announced that they will assume the management contract of the Elizabethton Twins, the Rookie League Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. Boyd Sports, which also operates the Tennessee Smokies, the Johnson City Cardinals, and the Greeneville Reds will assume all business operations of the Elizabethton Twins.

Johnson City Wins Three League Awards; Justin Rocke Named 2018 Radio Broadcaster Of The Year

The Appalachian League President Lee Landers today announced the recipients of the league's annual awards, voted on by the general managers of each club in the Advanced Rookie league. The Johnson City Cardinals were selected for three awards including the Organization of the Year, Executive of the Year, and the Promotional Trophy.

Boyd Sports To Manage & Operate Greeneville

Boyd Sports, LLC has announced that they will assume the management contract of the Greeneville Reds, the Rookie League Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Boyd Sports, which also operates the Tennessee Smokies and the Johnson City Cardinals, will assume all business operations of the Greeneville Reds.

Boyd Sports has completed its $250,000 installation of new synthetic turf on TVA Credit Union Ballpark’s infield and other areas well ahead of Science Hill High School’s entry and the start of Appalachian League champion Johnson City Cardinals’ season.
