Ex-Cardinals Watch 5-21-09: Mike Smith Signs Deal, Blaine Neal & Mike Rose Both Reassigned, Coco Crisp Hurting, Cecil Cooper Tossed

Cecil Cooper (Astros MGR):
Just when it looked as if the Astros would add some insurance to their lead over the Brewers on Thursday, an out call on a play at the plate by umpire Delfin Colon resulted in fireworks from Lance Berkman and Cecil Cooper, ending in the ejection of both the first baseman and manager. The call would prove costly, as the Astros would lose by one run, 4-3.
