Ex-Cardinals Watch 4-6-09: Raul Gonzalez, Dewon Brazelton, Carlos Pupo, Felix Jose, & Matt Spade Sign Deals; Cesar Izturis & Felipe Lopez Hit HRs

Anthony Reyes (Indians):
Your first chance to see the Kinston Indians takes place Tuesday, April 7th as the K-Tribe hosts the defending NCAA Division II National Champions from Mount Olive College. The exhibition game starts at 7pm at Historic Grainger Stadium and Cleveland Indians starter Anthony Reyes is scheduled to take the hill for at least five innings. Reyes, penciled in as the fifth starter in the Big Tribe’s rotation, is getting in some extra work before the season starts. Making his Big League debut in 2005 with the St. Louis Cardinals, Reyes came to the Indians in a trade last season.

Felipe Lopez (Diamondbacks):
Felipe Lopez, making his debut in Sedona Red, and veteran Tony Clark each homered twice and both switch-hitters hit them from each side of the plate. It was the first time two teammates had ever done it on Opening Day and it was the first time in the regular season since New York's Jorge Posada and Bernie Williams on April 23, 2000.

Raul Gonzalez (Long Island Ducks):
Long Island Ducks team officials today announced the signing of outfielder Raul Gonzalez. The 35-year-old has enjoyed five stops in the Major Leagues with four different organizations (Mets, Cubs, Indians and Reds), earning his first call-up in 2000 at the age of 26 with the Cubs.
