York Signs Scott Gorgen After Being Released By Camden

The Revolution has filled the open roster spot created by the departure of Chris Cody to the Brother Elephants in Taiwan. Right-handed reliever Scott Gorgen has signed with York, and as you can see from the stylish socks above, he’s played the majority of his career in the St. Louis Cardinals farm system.

Camden Re-Signs Scott Gorgen For 2014 Season

The Camden Riversharks have signed righthanded pitchers Scott Gorgen, James Simmons, and Brett Cammons, along with catcher Mike Albaladejo, and infielder Wilson Batista. The Riversharks now have fourteen players under contract.

St. Louis released Scott Gorgen, who was assigned to Double-A Springfield.
Jonathan Cornelius was reassigned from A-Advanced Palm Beach to Double-A Springfield.
Fernando Baez was reassigned from Rookie-Season Dominican Summer League to Short-Season Rookie-Level Gulf Coast League.
Rookie-Level Dominican Summer League placed Luis De La Rosa on the disabled list.
St. Louis released Domingo Sanchez, who was assigned to Rookie-Level Dominican Summer League.
