Marc Rzepczynski Now A Fixture In Indians' Bullpen
Marc Rzepczynski is no longer the new guy. The left-hander is comfortable in Cleveland's clubhouse, and he heads into camp this spring as a virtual lock to open the season in the Indians' bullpen.

Remembering Lance Berkman's Biggest Hits
Lance Berkman announced his retirement last week. While a week may seem like an eternity in the world of baseball blogs (especially during the seemingly endless off-season), a player of Berkman’s stature cannot be allowed to slip quietly into the night. If for no other reason, Berkman would deserve recognition on the basis of not one, but two of the best nicknames (judged on originality and appropriateness to the subject) in contemporary baseball in “Big Puma” and “Fat Elvis.” But he was also, as one would hope FanGraphs readers know, a tremendous player. As we so often do, let’s look back on some of Lance Berkman’s biggest hits from the perspective on their impact on individual games.

Indians Release Chris Perez
For all the noise that accompanied Chris Perez throughout his time with the Indians, the former closer's tenure in Cleveland has come to a quiet end.

Indians May Keep Eye On Jake Westbrook
Hey, Hoynsie: This front office loves to pick up reclamation projects for starting pitching depth. Do you think there's any interest in picking up old friend Jake Westbrook? It sounds like St. Louis won't pick up his option. He picked very well over there until injuries derailed him this year. –- John Tibaldi, Mayfield Heights.
Hey, John: Good observation. If Westbrook is healthy, I’m sure the Indians will give him some consideration. He’s definitely someone to keep an eye on this off-season.

Orioles May Be Willing To Shop Koji Uehara, Twins & Matt Capps
The Orioles, whose fast start is a distant memory, could shop Koji Uehara, but they're not quite ready to do that yet. Same goes for Minnesota and Matt Capps. The Twins now stand in fourth place in the AL Central, seven games behind Cleveland, and you know they aren't going to give up until they've exhausted all options on the contention front.

Memphis Redbirds Notebook 6-9-11
The Cardinals’ Triple-A club had a 4-2 week as they swept Oklahoma City (Astros) on the road. Led by hot Brandon Dickson, the pitching has been consistently strong and Andrew Brown is pacing an offense missing Mark Hamilton and Matt Carpenter.

Bullpen Help A Hot Commodity
Relief pitchers are viewed by many as the most volatile assets in baseball.
That remains the case now, maybe more than ever before. And that is why relievers will again be among the most desired – and fickle – commodities at the trade deadline.
