Lance Painter West Tenn Diamond Jaxx Pitching Coach

The 2010 version of the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx will be managed and coached by a set of new names. Three former big leaguers have been tabbed to lead the team. The Jaxx will be managed by former Major League catcher, Tim Laker. Joining Laker as coach will be Andy Fox and pitching coach, Lance Painter.

Charles Cutler Lone Quad Cities River Bandits All-Star

Charlie Cutler, the Midwest League's leading hitter, will be the Quad-Cities River Bandits' only representative in the league's All-Star Game later this month.

All-Star Games typically pit the best against the best. But rarely is it the case that a game features a stockpile of the league's best pitchers on one team against another team with many of the league's best hitters. That scenario came to fruition today as the Midwest League released their All-Star Game rosters. The coincidental divide, which will take place on June 23, will pit many of the league's best pitchers (playing for the Western Division) against many of the league's most feared hitters (Eastern Division).

Lance Painter Joins Clinton Lumber Kings Coaching Staff

Steinmann will be joined on the Clinton staff by pitching coach Lance Painter, hitting coach Eddie Menchaca and trainer Eduardo Tamez.

Painter pitched for 10 seasons in the major leagues during a 25-18 career that ended in 2003 and included stops with the Rockies, Cardinals, Blue Jays and Brewers. He worked as the pitching coach with Seattle-affiliated Wisconsin in 2006-07 and spent last season at High Desert, the Mariners’ California League affiliate.
