Scott Kazmir, Aaron Harang, Matt Garza, Kyle Lohse Are Possible Trade Targets; Teams Waiting For Rafael Soriano's Price To Drop

Scott Kazmir, LHP, A’s — “Tick, tick, tick,” one AL GM said in response to whether he thinks Kazmir might be traded before the deadline. “Sure. If Oakland can’t hang in, Billy [Beane] will flip him for prospects. He’s actually an interesting name. All you hear about is [David] Price, [Jordan] Zimmermann, [Johnny] Cueto, but that’s a pretty good name right there.” Kazmir, 31, is 2-1 with a 2.75 ERA in six starts after going 15-9, 3.55 last season. Kazmir is not expected to be as costly as the others. He could be a Red Sox target.

Best Books Of 2009

The spring of 2009 flooded us with books on steroid users in various stages of outing. Roger Clemens had already fallen to earth. Six weeks ago the Cardinals made the announcement that Mark McGwire was ending a self imposed exile from baseball and returning to the team as their new hitting coach. Reaction, as you could imagine, was mixed. There are plenty of people who think that McGwire is a villain. There are just as many people who think that he is innocent until proven guilty.

jrocke217 says: And we are surprised by this finding? Somebody has been living in a cave the past 10+ years. Now does this change any minds on Mark McGwire or are the media gonna continue to pound away at him like he was the one that invented steriods and gave it to everyone in baseball or any other sport.
