Cardinals Announce Minor League Field Staffs & Player Development Assignments For 2019

The St. Louis Cardinals announced their 2019 Minor League coaching staffs for their affiliate teams in addition to their player development and medical personnel for the upcoming season on Friday. The Cardinals Farm System finished 6th among all teams in overall winning pct. (.534; 401-350) in 2018, as Memphis won its second-consecutive Pacific Coast League (AAA) title and also the Triple-A National Championship Game, and both Peoria (Midwest League-A) and the GCL Cardinals (Gulf Coast League - Rookie) advanced to their respective league Championship Series.

Nick Dunn, Edwin Figuera, & Delvin Perez Named 2018 New York-Penn League All-Stars

The rosters for the 2018 New York-Penn League All-Star Game presented by the Central PA Convention and Visitors Bureau have been released for both the North and South squads, who will face off on Tuesday, August 14 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.The host State College Spikes will have three players on the South roster as infielders Nick Dunn , Edwin Figuera and Delvin Perez will all be part of the showcase event.

Joe Kruzel To Return As State College Manager In 2018

Joe Kruzel will return to the bench for a second straight year as State College Spikes manager, the St. Louis Cardinals have announced. Kruzel joins returning hitting coach Roger LaFrancois, new pitching coach Adrian Martin, and new strength and conditioning coach Don Trapp on the Spikes' 2018 coaching staff.

Evan Mendoza, Yariel Gonzalez, Joshua Lopez, Scott Hurst, Daniel Castano, & Andrew Summerville Named To 2017 New York-Penn League All-Star Team

A franchise record six State College Spikes have been selected to play for the South squad in the 2017 New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Tuesday, August 15. Infielders Evan Mendoza and Yariel Gonzalez , catcher Josh Lopez, outfielder Scott Hurst and pitchers Daniel Castano and Andrew Summerville are all scheduled to represent the Spikes and the St. Louis Cardinals at the NYPL's annual showcase of future stars.

State College To Receive Championship Rings In Florida

Several members of the State College Spikes' 2016 New York-Penn League championship team will receive their rings on Sunday in Jupiter, FL. The ring presentation ceremony will take place prior to the St. Louis Cardinals' 1:05 p.m. Spring Training game against the Miami Marlins at Roger Dean Stadium.
