Dexter Fowler started in centerfield and moved to right, batting leadoff.  2-for-4 with one double, two runs, and one strikeout.
Tommy Edman started in rifght field and moved to third base, batting second.  2-for-4 with one triple and one strikeout.
Paul Goldschmidt started at first base and batted third.  2-for-4 with one RBI, one run, and assisted in two double plays.
Marcell Ozuna started in left field and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one home run, two RBIs, one run, one strikeout, and grounded into one double play.
Matt Carpenter started at third base and batted sixth.  1-for-3 with one double, one RBI, one run, one sac fly, one strikeout, and assisted in one double play.
Kolten Wong started at second base and batted seventh.  1-for-3 with one walk, one strikeout, and assisted in two double plays.
Matt Wieters started at catcher and batted eighth.  1-for-3 with one two-out RBI, two strikeouts, and allowed one stolen base.
Tyler Webb entered in the fifth andf pitched 1.1 innings.  He allowed one hit, no runs, and struck one out.  (p-s:18-13)(g/f:2-0)

Today is Cardinals manager Mike Shildt’s birthday. The team encouraged fans to sing him a song to celebrate 51-years during tonight’s game against the Pirates. There was just one problem. They misspelled his name on the big screen. Some fans are connecting this error with the turn the team’s season is taking.
