Astros Assign Bryan Radziewski To Single-A Quad Cities

Featuring the top position player and pitcher among the Houston Astros' latest draft class signees, the Quad Cities River Bandits will again have a talent-laden roster when the Midwest League season opens April 9. The Astros and River Bandits on Wednesday announced a preliminary roster that includes Houston's top 2014 draft signee - outfielder Derek Fisher - among eight top-10 round picks, as well as seven returning players, including Moline native infielder Thomas Lindauer.

Quad Cities Plan For An All-Star Summer With New, Bigger, & Better Promotions

Fresh and innovative promotions have become a mainstay at Modern Woodmen Park since the return of the River Bandits in 2008, and this season is poised to set a new standard in ballpark entertainment. The River Bandits announced their 2011 promotional schedule at a press conference held at Modern Woodmen Park earlier today.
Television star Erik Estrada, wrestling great George "The Animal" Steele, a quartet of Iowa Hawkeyes football legends and baseball greats Lee Smith and Stan Musial will make this an all-star summer in more ways than one at Modern Woodmen Park.

Busch To Host Quad Cities Regular Season Game

Busch Stadium will serve as host for a May 26 Midwest League game between the Cardinals' Quad Cities affiliate and the Kane County Cougars (Royals).
Members of the Quad City River Bandits, the Cardinals' Class A affiliate, will have an opportunity to play under the bright lights of the big leagues on May 26, when they play the Kane County Cougars at Busch Stadium.
The River Bandits will head south to St. Louis, Missouri to take on the Kane County Cougars on Thursday, May 26 at Busch Stadium, the home of the Bandits' parent club the St. Louis Cardinals.
For at least one day, the Quad-Cities River Bandits will be living life in the big leagues.

Quad Cities River Bandits Scholar Amanda Stahle Enjoys Academic Success

Last May, Amanda Stahle, a Bettendorf High School senior, became the first recipient of the highly competitive Keith Lucier Memorial Scholarship and in so doing had the River Bandits pay for her entire first-year tuition at the University of Iowa. Stahle, a student in the Henry B. Tippie College of Business, enters the final semester of her freshman year with a 3.69 GPA and a spot on the university's prestigious Dean's List. In addition to her impressive academic results, Stahle also throws discus on the Hawkeye track and field team.
