Quad Cities Still Champions In Managers Eyes

The doors to the Quad-Cities clubhouse at Modern Woodmen Park remained unusually closed for almost 30 minutes after Friday's season-ending loss to Kane County in the opening round of the Midwest League playoffs.

Quad Cities Drops Rainy Game Three 15-7

The River Bandits and starter Daniel Bibona (0-1) looked untouchable early, but as the rains came the pitching faltered and the Cougars exploded for 15 runs over the final four innings to take Game 3 15-7 and advance in the Midwest League playoffs.

Five-Run Second Buries Quad Cities, Series Even At One

Kane County plated five runs off River Bandit starter Michael Blazek (0-1) in the top of the second inning which was all they needed on their way to a 5-4 series evening win in Game 2 of the best-of-three playoff series.
One bad inning Thursday leaves the Quad-Cities River Bandits with a one-game season.

Quad Cities Opens Postseason Against Kane County

The River Bandits are back in the postseason for the first time since the 2007 campaign and they are looking to win their first Midwest League championship since 1990. The first round is a best-of-three series between the River Bandits, first half wild card qualifiers, and the Kane County Cougars, second half Western Division winners.

8-2 Loss Stops Streaking Quad Cities

The River Bandits committed two errors behind starter Eric Fornataro (7-15), and the Peoria Chiefs made them pay. The Chiefs had a 4-0 lead after two innings and none of the runs were earned. Peoria went on to add four more tallies on their way to an 8-2 series opening win.
With two games remaining in the regular season, the Quad-Cities River Bandits are looking to build a little momentum before the start of postseason play on Wednesday.

Cardinals Minor League Notebook 8-22-10

The Cardinals farm system went 4-3 on Saturday as Mark Hamilton, Steven Hill, Aaron Luna, Thomas Eager, Jarred Bogany, Joel Pichardo, Cory Rauschenberger, Michael Swinson, Daniel Bibona, Audris Perez, Andrew Moss, Kleininger Teran, Jeff Nadeau, Boone Whiting, and Fernando Baez starred.

Quad Cities Makes It Three In A Row, Sweep Doubleheader

The River Bandits swept the doubleheader with the Burlington Bees on Sunday afternoon at Community Field. The Bandits edged out game one 5-3 before exploding in the last two innings of game two to claim an 11-3 win.
