Rick Ankiel stepped into the Washington Nationals’ dugout recently wearing baseball pants, a batting practice cap and a team pullover. Sometimes Ankiel wears street clothes to work as the Nationals’ life skills coordinator. There’s no dress code.

Brian Daubach Named Double-A Harrisburg Manager
Brian Daubach, a World Series winner with the 2004 Boston Red Sox and most recently manager for the High-A Potomac Nationals, has officially been named the Harrisburg Senators' 2014 manager, the parent Nationals confirmed Friday afternoon.

The Tigers designated Chris Lambert's contract for assignment Monday, presumably to make room for Jacob Turner on the 40-man roster. Because Turner signed a Major League deal, he immediately goes on the 40-man, even though he won't be pitching in games for a while. We know it wasn't to make room for Aubrey Huff, because the Tigers announced they moved Joel Zumaya to the 60-day DL for that.
