A good portion of the preseason speculation concerning the Cardinals was who would play first base and how much firepower would emanate from the position. Matt Adams made his 12th start there Thursday. Brandon Moss has made 11 although Moss finished up at first base when Adams suffered what appears to be a minor left leg injury.
