David Freese Done For Season

The Cardinals received very bad news on David Freese on Tuesday, learning that the rookie third baseman requires surgery to repair tendon damage in his troublesome right ankle. Freese will miss the remainder of the season.
Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said Tuesday that third baseman David Freese’s most recent injury is “season ending.”
Collective sighs could probably be heard from the Cardinals dugout Monday night when word reached them that third baseman David Freese had re-injured his ankle during his first rehab game with Double-A Springfield.
Cardinals third baseman David Freese will have season-ending surgery to repair a torn tendon in his right ankle.
