Tommy Edman’s heroics — a two-run, game-tying homer and a single off the bench Thursday night — were somewhat lost in the Cardinals’ pickoff-walkoff 7-6 loss to the Miami Marlins in 11 innings. But Edman, a 24-year-old, switch-hitting infielder called up from Memphis earlier this month, will get plenty more chances.
