During the month of July, Solano received the well-deserved promotion.  Ventura, Soto, and Inohan Paniagua showed signs of improvement and settled.  Soto almost struck out a batter in each inning logged.  Puello, Cordova, and Jimenez continued strong campaigns from June.  Moreno struggled to turn around his sluggish season.  Luis Ortiz was the sore spot as he gave up the most hits, runs, and tied for the most in walks.

My choice for 2018 DSL Starting Pitcher of the Year goes to Julio Puello as he led the openers in ERA, WHIP, and was just one strikeout short of also leading in that category.  He also did not accumulate a loss during the season.  Francis Ventura was a reliable arm and both Hector Soto and Ludwin Jimenez put up some solid numbers for consideration.
