Brian Bartow Wins 2015 Robert O. Fishel Award

Brian Bartow, a member of the Cardinals' communications department since 1987, has been named the recipient of the 2015 Robert O. Fishel Award for Public Relations Excellence. Bartow is the second member of the organization to win the award, which has been presented at the Winter Meetings annually since 1981.

Most Big Leaguers Will Visit For Exhibition
Most -- but not all -- of the players of the St. Louis Cardinals' opening-day roster will travel to Springfield for the March 29 exhibition game against the Double-A team, as the big-league club has a scheduled spring training game that afternoon in Jupiter, Fla.

The four players and one coach taken down Saturday by flu returned to camp Sunday morning. Second baseman Skip Schumaker, minor-league catcher Robert Stock, reliever Blake Hawksworth and starter Kyle Lohse are taking part in morning drills. Lohse noted that his condition cost him seven pounds.

Don't Blame Albert Pujols: An Apology
Last Thursday afternoon I got a call from Brian Bartow, the St. Louis Cardinals' director of media relations. Bartow said the team had seen and loved the Riverfront Times Guide to All-Star Week, a special supplement this paper had published the previous day -- all except the part where we revealed the home addresses of some current and former Redbirds luminaries.
