Cardinals reliever Matt Bowman, who received treatment for a lack of blood flow to the fingertips on his right hand, has officially joined shortstop Paul DeJong on a rehab assignment with Class AAA Memphis.

As the St. Louis Cardinals open a weekend series at Busch Stadium, pitcher Matt Bowman and shortstop Paul DeJong will be a few hours north as the pair begins rehab assignments with Memphis (AAA) in Iowa City.
