The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have recalled infielder Aledmys Diaz and right-handed pitcher Josh Lucas from Memphis (AAA). Both players will join the Cardinals in Cincinnati for tonight's game against the Reds, upping the team's active roster to 36 players.

Aledmys Diaz, the Cardinals’ starting shortstop when the 2017 season opened and a 2016 National League All-Star, is back in the major leagues after a demotion of almost three months to Triple-A Memphis.
