The Cardinals jetted home late Sunday night after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2 to complete a reasonably successful road trip. After winning three games from the Angels in Anaheim, the Cards played some terribly sloppy baseball in losing the first two at Dodger Stadium. But Sunday’s victory made a difference. With the win, the Cardinals avoided being swept and came home with a 4-2 record in SoCal instead of settling for 3-3.
