Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 5-15-16: Dom Thompson-Williams Singles, Walks Twice, Homers Twice & Drives In Three Runs; Gio Brusa Singles & Knocks In Two Runs



Justin Bellinger (former 2014 draft selection-Duke) started at first base and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one strikeout.

Gio Brusa (former 2015 draft selection-Pacific) started in right field and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with two two-out RBIs, one strikeout, and grounded into one double play.

San Diego beat Pacific 9-5

Tristan Hildebrandt (former 2014 draft selection-Cal St Fullerton) entered late in the game at second base and batted ninth.  0-for-1 at the plate.

Cal St Fullerton beat US Santa Barbara 6-3

Ryan Merrill (former 2015 draft selection-Texas Christian) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Texas Christian beat Baylor 7-3

Kyle Molnar (former 2015 draft selection-UCLA) started and pitched four innings.  He allowed six hits, five runs (four earned), three walks, and struck three out for the losing decision (5-5).  (p-s:72-44)
