We get so absorbed in this whole buyers and sellers thing that we forget what Bob Castellini and Mark Attanasio have put into the Reds and Brewers. Or that the only significant player acquired at the deadline by the 2013 Red Sox and 2014 Giants champions was Jake Peavy, who made seven post-season starts for the two teams, pitched 28 1/3 innings, allowed 21 runs, won one game and cost the Red Sox an all-star shortstop in Jose Iglesias and a potential closer in Frankie Montas.
