Jason Motte On DL, Roster Set; Oscar Taveras To Left?; Jake Westbrook Finishes Up; Extra Bases
After a 7-2 loss to the Mets in the spring finale and before flying to Phoenix on Friday night, the Cardinals took care of a little paperwork. The team officially placed closer Jason Motte on the 15-day disabled list with a strained flexor tendon in his right arm. The team does not have a timetable for when he’ll next pick up a baseball.
