Brad Nelson drove in the game winning run on a single up the middle plating Endy Chavez who reached base on a lead-off single as Round Rock knocked off Memphis in extra innings 5-4 Friday night in front of 4,814 at AutoZone Park.
The Redbirds saw their game go down to the wire for the third straight time.
This time, however, they failed to leave AutoZone Park with a walk-off victory. After clawing back from a four-run deficit to send Friday night's game into extra innings, the Redbirds gave up a run to Round Rock in the top of the 13th inning, snapping their three-game winning streak with a 5-4 loss in front of 4,814.
