Round Two: Lessons The Cardinals Could Learn From Phillies
QUESTION: As one sees the Phillies continue to roll through another NL postseason series, a question comes to mind about the Cardinals. Do you see any recurrent themes/trends/issues that have kept the Cardinals out of the playoffs three out of the last four years? Surely it can’t all be blamed on injuries, and it seems payroll can’t be the only reason, after all, the low-payroll Reds rolled the Cardinals this year. Just wondering if there is a big-picture issue that is being missed here.
