Brian Jordan On The Bob Shelton Show 10-12-10
Former Braves/Cardinals outfielder Brian Jordan joins the show and talks about what a manager Bobby Cox was for him. Brian says Bobby was a dream to play for and always expected him even when he played for St. Louis. Brian says he is sad to see him retire. Brian also talks about the class the Giants showed to Bobby after the game. Brian explains that Tony LaRussa and Bobby Cox's coaching styles are completely different. He says Tony takes time for pkayers to get used to. But will make any player better. He says Bobby is the ulitimate players coach. Brian says many people dont understand how hard it is to make the playoffs. And that is why it is so amazing that he did it 14 years in a row. Plus, Brian thinks this season is one of the best coaching jobs in his career. Bobby will always protect his players and that is a big reason why Bobby is the leader in ejections. Brian says it will be hard for Bobby Cox to be away from the game nexct year.
