Joe Sheehan, Allen Craig, & Milt Thompson On The Bernie Miklasz Show 7-20-10

Joe Sheehan Interview: Bernie and Joe start by talking about what the Reds need to do to stay close. Joe points out that the Reds could use a top of the line starting pitcher and maybe a little bullpen help. But Joe does believe the Cardinals are the better team. The conversation then turned to Scott Rolen talk and what may happen to the Reds if they lose the MVP candidate. Bernie and Joe also point out that being healthy is a good way to become a “surprise” team like the Reds have been this year. The idea that Russ Springer and Jason Isringhausen may pitch for the Reds this year isn’t too crazy according to Joe. He says that if you look at the numbers any big league pitcher can do anything for a 20 inning period, which is what Springer and Isringhausen would be asked to do. The segment finished up with a little talk about the Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres’ success this year.
