That old cliché rang true on Friday, when Cubs starter Dempster allowed only one run in 7 2/3 strong innings and Brewers starter Jeff Suppan was knocked around throughout his 4 1/3 innings of work. Suppan (0-1) surrendered 10 hits and six runs, five of them earned, in losing his second start this season -- his first at home.
