Stubby Clapp To Conduct Camp

Former Memphis Redbirds fan favorite Stubby Clapp, in partnership with Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, is conducting a two-day baseball camp in Hernando.

The camp, for players ages 8-14, will be held Feb. 27 and 28 at 282 Kapik Road, Hernando. Cost is $80 for ages 6-7, $90 for 8-14. Walk-up cost is $100.

Clapp, who also played for the St. Louis Cardinals and is now a minor league hitting instructor for the Houston Astros, will be assisted by former University of Memphis and five-year major-league pitcher Chad Harville, and others with pro baseball experience.
