Andrew Brown Named To 2011 Pacific Coast League All-Star Team

For Collin Cowgill, batting .363 through the end of June was a boost to his All-Star candidacy. Having the entire nation behind him helped, too.

Cowgill is headed to Salt Lake as the top vote-getter for the Pacific Coast League in Triple-A All-Star Game voting after the league announced its roster for the July 13 event.

Tommy Gregg Promoted To Double-A Hitting Coach

The Kansas City Royals announced today that Mike Jirschele will return as the Omaha Royals manager in 2009. Tom Burgmeier will again serve as the Triple-A club's pitching coach, while Tommy Gregg will move from Double-A Northwest Arkansas to Omaha in his role as hitting coach. Drew Van Dam returns as trainer.
