Joe Kruzel Returns To Manage Peoria In 2016

The Peoria Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals have announced the 2016 Chiefs field staff with Joe Kruzel returning as Chiefs manager for a third season. Fresh from leading the Chiefs to their first Midwest League playoff berth in six seasons, Kruzel's staff will again include hitting coach Jobel Jimenez and pitching coach Dernier Orozco while fourth coach Nathan Sopena is new to the Chiefs and the Cardinals organization. Athletic Trainer Dan Martin, who was with Short-Season State College in 2015 rounds out the Chiefs staff while a strength and conditioning coach will be announced at a later date.
