What I Miss About Sports Today - References To Cardinals History During Games

I miss the daily doses of nostalgia. They were reliable and refreshing. Watching a game, listening to a game, going to game, covering a game, every experience includes little links to St. Louis’ past. Casual references to players who once played. Instant analysis of a play by comparing it to a famous play. Looking at looks – from locks to socks – that remind us of how previous Cardinals looked.

Paul Goldschmidt Has Been A Big Bust So Far In First Season With Cardinals

St. Louis treads somewhat lightly, perhaps because of his past production, because he chose to sign a long-term extension and because he is one of baseball’s good guys. But it’s got to be said — more than halfway through the Cardinals’ season, Paul Goldschmidt’s offense has been offensive.

After arriving at the ballpark today and talking with the major-league training staff, St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Ryan Ludwick put on his running shoes and took the field to test and push his injured right hamstring. He ran. He backpedaled. He said he plans to be ready when eligible to come off the disabled list.
