Jesse Biddle Brilliant, But Braves' Relief Falters In 14th

Mike Foltynewicz provided the bullpen a much-needed day off with a complete-game gem on Friday night. But when pushed deep into extra innings on Saturday at SunTrust Park, Braves manager Brian Snitker had to call upon Socolovich, who would not have been with the Braves if not for the domino effect created by the extended absence of Luiz Gohara. The outcome proved to be predictable, other than the fact that Max Scherzer sparked the two-run frame that gave the Nationals a 5-3, 14-inning victory.

Ender Inciarte's Walk-Off Bunt Caps Braves' Late Rally

A night after they were shut down by Mets closer Jeurys Familia, the Braves got their revenge on him Saturday night at SunTrust Park, walking off with a 4-3 win on Ender Inciarte's perfectly placed bunt single. It marked Atlanta's second walk-off win of the season.

Scott Kazmir Anxious In Return To Mound For Braves

Scott Kazmir has earned three All-Star selections and made multiple postseason starts, including a couple in the World Series. Still, given the frustration he experienced during last year's lost season, it was easy to understand why the Braves' left-hander felt anxious as he managed to complete a scoreless first inning in Sunday afternoon's 9-3 loss to the Nationals at FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
