After dipping to .240, Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is up to .266 after seven hits in his past three games. Add on three walks, two of them, Saturday and Goldschmidt was on base 10 times in those games, raising his on-base mark to .348.

Cardinals Homestand Highlights May 6-12, 2019
The Cardinals look to improve upon their MLB-best 12-4 home record when they return to Busch Stadium next week. The seven-game homestand opens with three games against the Philadelphia Phillies (May 6-8) and concludes with a four-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates (May 9-12). The third homestand of the year is highlighted by Mother’s Day and Cancer Awareness Theme Night.

When Did Cardinals Pitchers Last Have Such Great Back-To-Back Starts?
The Cardinals bullpen in 2018 has been pretty bad. We don't want to name names, but as a collective group they rank in the bottom third of the NL in fWAR, ERA, FIP, xFIP, and a lot of other things. Luckily for all involved, they got a much needed reprieve the last two games and were only needed to get four outs. And during that time, one of their relievers threw a ball over 105 mph. So while short on WAR, they are not a unit bereft of entertainment.

Cardinals Give Matt Carpenter A Breather; Umps On Line One; Carlos Martinez Still Shut Down; Kevin Towers Honored
Cardinals manager Mike Matheny jiggled the lineup for the third game of the series against the Padres on Saturday. It was constructed without Matt Carpenter for a second straight day.
